By engaging with Keast Auto Repair you agree to the following terms and conditions. These apply to all services, repairs, diagnostics, and parts supplied.
2. Quotes & Estimates
- All quotes are based on visible work required at the time.
- Quotes may change if additional faults or issues are identified during the job.
- We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before proceeding with additional work where practical.
- Estimates are indicative only and not fixed prices.
3. Authorisation of Work
- By approving a quote (verbally, electronically, or in writing), you authorise us to carry out the work.
- If contact cannot be made, we may proceed with essential repairs required for safety or to complete the job.
4. Pricing & Payment
- Payment is due on completion of work unless prior arrangements have been made.
- We reserve the right to:
- Charge storage fees for vehicles not collected within a reasonable timeframe
- Retain possession of the vehicle until payment is received (lien rights under NZ law)
- Late payments may incur additional costs or collection fees.
5. Parts & Materials
- We may use new, reconditioned, or aftermarket parts unless otherwise agreed.
- All parts remain the property of Keast Auto Repair until paid in full.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by parts availability.
6. Customer-Supplied Parts
- We do not warranty customer-supplied parts.
- Labour relating to fitting these parts is still chargeable.
- If a supplied part fails or is incorrect, additional labour costs will apply.
7. Warranties
- Manufacturer warranties apply to parts where applicable.
- Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse or neglect
- Failure of unrelated components
8. Vehicle Condition & Liability
- Customers must disclose any known issues with the vehicle.
- We are not liable for pre-existing faults that become apparent during or after repairs.
- Vehicles are left on-site at the owner’s risk outside business hours.
9. Diagnostic Work
- Diagnostic time is chargeable regardless of whether repairs proceed.
- Some faults may require extensive testing and may not be immediately identifiable.
10. Cancellations
- Cancellation of booked work may incur a fee, particularly where parts or labour have already been allocated.
11. Health & Safety
- Customers must follow all safety instructions when on workshop premises.
- Access to workshop areas may be restricted for safety reasons.
14. Disputes
- Any concerns should be raised as soon as possible so we can work towards a resolution.
- Disputes will be handled in good faith and in accordance with New Zealand law.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
